Part of Something Bigger than Me..........

I have been volunteering at the ReGifting Store for several weeks now and have made a full time commitment to the store. Please follow my journey as a volunteer at: ReGifting Store. I will share heartwarming stories that I hope will inspire you to do something bigger than you ever imagined you could. In the past weeks I have been part of such a wonderful community. The ReGifting Store is non-profit and supports local needs. In the past several weeks we have provided clothing, beds, linens and more to families in need. We hosted a baby shower for a family who has nothing but each other. We have purchased food, diapers, toilet paper, soap and anything else we could. We have paid rent, electric bills, gas. The ReGifting Store is amazing. All of this help has been provided after only 3 short months of being open. Can you imagine how much more we could do with the support of everyone in our community? Please stop by my new blog to show your support and if you find time to make it to the ReGifting Store take a minute to say hello.........

Things I love......

I moved to the main floor of Camas Antiques on September 1st and have been working hard at filling up my new booth. It is finally filled up with things I love!

This work cabinet was one of the junk finds that I brought home from the ReGifting Store. I had to clean it up a bit but basically left it as found, because it already had perfect layers of chippy paint. I love chippy paint. I really wanted to keep this piece but I have to remind myself that I can't keep everything!

The white drop-leaf table was also a ReGifting Store find. It too only needed to be cleaned up a bit. A little more chippy on top than I would normally prefer but I am in love with the size of this table.

I have a thing for old keys, blocks, photos and tools, I only buy what I love so you will find plenty of these items in my booth!

Another view of my junk... I really love junk.

Another thing I love is old books. They can make such a statement in decorating and even if they are worn and torn they work fantastic to be used in collage, mixed media and other paper craft projects.

The creamy colored table is another junk find from the ReGifting Store. It was actually more of a yellow color so I sanded it down to reveal the cream paint underneath and glazed over it. I have collected many black mailboxes recently and I am in love with them. Several are being used right now on my porch to decorate for Halloween. I think I will use them afterwards to store my old letters and other ephemera in. Another thing I love...... ephemera!

Outdoor Gala Event

I had a wonderful time at the Outdoor Gala Event last weekend. It was hosted by the owners of Uncovered Ruby in Battleground to celebrate their 2 year anniversary. I was a little nervous to be part of this sale because I didn't really know any of the other vendors. They all made me feel very welcome and I was so happy to get to know each of them.

These are pictures of my booth. If you missed me there you can find many of these items and more at my booth inside Camas Antiques.

These are pictures of Michelle's booth of My Shabby Passion. I love here style so much, she can be found at Uncovered Ruby, and many events around town.

I wish I would've taken more pics that day because there was so much eye candy, but sometimes I get to chatting so much I forget to take out the camera!

I have had it for over a week now and have looked at everything in it nearly every single night and it makes me smile every single time! Wondering what was in it? You'll have to wait to see........

The ReGifting Store in Vancouver

I posted last week about the ReGifting Store in Vancouver and how much I love it! I was there yesterday and they had so many new treasures.

I had commented in my last post that I wish they had more junk and boy did I get it. First, here are some pictures of the items I left at the store because they weren't junky enough for me :o)

If you missed my post last week about the ReGifting Store you can see it HERE. You'll have to wait to see the junk I came home with in a series of Before and After Posts!

Outdoor Gala Event at Uncovered Ruby

I will be participating in a fantastic outdoor event this weekend and have decided this one will be the last for a while. I am clearing my event calendar to spend more time with family and focus more on my booth at Camas Antiques.
